Motorola Edge is on sale for $200 off during Prime Day

If you missed out on your last chance to get the Motorola Edge at a serious discount, you don’t have to despair. Motorola is running an Amazon Prime Day sale on the Edge that once more brings the upper mid-range Android phone to $499.99, or $200 off its usual price. You’ll also find deals for the lower-cost Moto G family.

The Edge is arguably a better value than the ostensibly more powerful Edge Plus. It’s not as powerful between the Snapdragon 765 chip, 4GB of RAM, and less powerful cameras. You still get a 90Hz waterfall display, 5G, and an excellent 4,500mAh battery, however, and the performance is still brisk. And at this sale price, Motorola’s lower-cost Edge is potentially a better bargain than the Galaxy S20 FE if you like curved screens and aren’t a stickler for speed.

The discount lasts until October 14.

There are options if you want a lower-cost alternative. The Moto G Stylus is on sale for $239.99 ($60 off), while the G Power is available for $199.99 ($50 off) and the entry-level G Fast has dropped to $159.99 ($40 off).

None of the G-series phones will be particularly fast or take pristine photos, but they’re still great values between robust batteries, solid display quality and a light-touch approach to Android. The sale just makes the Moto G a considerably easier choice if you don’t need much more than the essentials.
